I cannot believe the carelessness
When once I was all you cared about
I don't know what hurts more,
Knowing how little you love me,
Or how little I ever mattered to you
I still find myself testing you,
Prodding you
Anything to see the love that once was there
The fire of passion in our love
That has long since burned out.
And now the home we once inhabited
Lies in ashes at our feet
Each looking from the other side at the other
Wondering who will walk the coals
And the shattered glass
